Saluda Shoals Park is a 300-acre educational and recreational park system owned and operated by the Irmo-Chapin Recreation Commission. The park consists of one of the most diverse ecosystems in the South Carolina midlands made up of rivers, grasslands, wetlands and upland Forests.
Sherman Construction Co., Inc. was contracted to build three facilities to be utilized by the park. The Environmental Center is an 11,000 SF building that will be used as an environmental education center, display area and theater. The 11,300 SF Conference Center will be leased out to the public for business conferences, weddings and a variety of other events. The 3,500 SF administration building will house all of the Irmo-Chapin Recreation Commission’s administrative staff and ranger station.
