National Healthcare hired Sherman Construction for preconstruction and construction services for the construction of a 60 bed Assisted Living Facility in Mauldin, South Carolina. This facility was a 36,000 square feet Assisted Living with a Memory Care wing located at the rear. The structure was exterior load bearing light gauge metal framed walls supporting wood framed trusses. The exterior skin included a combination of stone veneer and cementitious siding.
Amenities include a walking track, putting green and Bistro, along with a full-service kitchen. This was NHC 1st Assisted Living Facility in the State of SC to help prove the concept model. This facility was designed by Johnson + Bailey Architects, while Sherman Construction provided coordination of value engineering options and systems review. The project is located adjacent to NHC existing Skilled Nursing Facility located off Butler Rd in Mauldin, SC.
